of “IN PURSUIT” Opening August 11, 2011
at Chicago’s Second Stage Theatre

August 18th Theatre Thursday Event is $12.00 with code “theatrethurs”

IN PURSUIT, by Breahan Pautsch, is Hobo Junction's new sci-fi comedy. A sweet couple of immigrants from another galaxy is settling into a quiet life in Wisconsin, and only an intergalactic green card stands between them and the nice normal Earth life they've always dreamed of. Just when Earth American citizenship seems within their reach…miles of red tape, a crazy out-of-town cousin hell-bent on a good time and an unexpected body threaten to derail their well-made plans.

As they struggle to keep it all together, they learn that everyone’s idea of “nice” and “normal” are not the same, making it harder to find on Earth than Tribble in a field of Triffids, and that home may not be on any planet, but in the big, squishy heart of someone they love.

Incorporating brand-new puppet designs and classic comedy, Hobo Junction will launch this show at the Second Stage Theater in Chicago August 11, 2011.

thx

Hello Dan, I maintain a little project to maintain a list of SF&F book clubs in the area, including the burbs. You can take a look at http://www.chicago-sf.org/readingfaq.html

There are many options out in the suburbs and I bet you can find one that is right for you! But don't be shy about coming into the city either.

Dan,
We haven't done an event in the suburbs yet but we have heard people asking not to forget non-city nerds. Please sign-up for our mailing list and we will let you know of anything in the future.
If you would like to be more involved, and host an event email: rachel[@]chicagonerds.com

I am a nerd who loves to read sci-fi and fantasy. I would love to attend a bookclub nut I'm out in the suburbs. Do you ever get together out in the burbs? If interested my wife owns a tea shop in Franklin Park (Abbygails) and she has bookclubs there sometimes.
