Tor Books is pleased to announce the launch event for the follow-up to Ada Palmer’s critically acclaimed debut science fiction novel Too Like the Lightning, SEVEN SURRENDERS on Tuesday, March 7th at 6:00 PM at 57th Street Books 1301 E. 57th Street, Chicago, IL 60637. Free to the public, books available for purchase and signing.
Palmer’s debut novel has been praised for its ambitious worldbuilding, unique prose style and refreshing utopian vision. Now, SEVEN SURRENDERS, the second book of the political science fiction epic series Terra Ignota, continues the story of Mycroft Canner and the child Bridger in the year 2454, a utopian future wrapped in the trappings of 17th Century Enlightenment philosophy. Library Journal recently gave SEVEN SURRENDERS a starred review and said “The eloquence of Palmer’s reflections on social issues cannot be denied.”
