Greetings, Chicago Nerds!

As you might recall, last year we created a new, paid membership option for CNSCers who were interested in financially supporting our community. We were thrilled with the initial wave of membership sign ups, and asked for your feedback about how we could move CNSC forward to better meet members’ needs.

We’ve heard your responses, and to start off the New Year, the annual membership has been adjusted to $10. This membership fee will allow us to “keep the lights on” by managing (and making improvements to) the CNSC website and other maintenance needs, as well as organize more of what you’ve indicated you’d like from CNSC: events like our annual mainstays of Nerd-O-Ween and Pi(e) Day, as well as meet-ups like our CNSC bookclub and more. We will also continue exploring partnerships with related organizations, events, vendors, theater groups, and more.

We’re incredibly proud of the community CNSC is building, which would not be possible without your support. Thank you for helping us make CNSC possible, and we look forward to continue growing CNSC with your help!
