Welcome! I’m Joel Hodgson.
Once upon a time, a television series called MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 was born. We debuted on Minneapolis’ KTMA, local television, on Thanksgiving Day 1988, as the world was in the final throes of Teddy Ruxpin-mania. That was almost thirty years ago, but for some reason, people still seem to like the show – it’s a mitzvah!
Our show has had a long, strange run. Across a UHF channel, a cable network, cancellation, a feature film, then another cable network, the show lasted for 12 years, two generations of hosts and puppeteers, 2 Emmy nominations and a total of 197 episodes before we got canceled again for good in 1999. Sadly, it was just as Prince predicted.

Come to the Irish American Heritage Center and enjoy my two all-time favorite episodes. They will be showing the movie in it’s entirety. Some refreshments will be provided, but feel free to bring your own or to share. Alcohol is served at the bar or BYOB.
Afterwards, we’ll watch MST3K: THE FINAL COUNTDOWN, a live-streaming telethon with special guests, comedians, musical acts, magic and more, live at Meltdown Comics in Los Angeles. We’ll spend the last five hours of this crazy month having a big party, and live-streaming the whole thing so you can be part of the fun.
Our GUEST HOSTS will be PAUL & STORM, my musician/comedian friends, who will keep the telethon moving, and might even play us a few songs. Our NEXT CAST will join us to help celebrate, with visits or video chats from cast members including…
