Illinois Science Council hosts a Pi Day 3.14-mile Fun Run/Walk on March 14 in honor of Pi Day. And since 2009 ISC has recruited bakeries, restaurants, and pizza purveyors to offer pie-related specials on Pi Day, which we promote on our website for everyone to enjoy for their own Pi Day celebrations. We’ll have a final list on our site at IllinoisScience.org on March 11, but to date we’ve confirmed the following participating establishments:
• Alliance Bakery, Chicago • Bennison’s Bakery, Evanston • Cafe Selmarie, Chicago • Delightful Pastries, Chicago • Jarosch Bakery, Elk Grove Village • Parker’s Restaurant, Downers Grove • Swedish Bakery, Chicago • Sweety Pies Bakery, Skokie • Swirlz Cupcakes, Chicago • Warm Belly Bakery, Chicago
The Illinois Science Council is an independent 501c3 organization that promotes science, technology, engineering and math for the adult public. ISC creates engaging public programs on everything from astronomy to zoology, and it highlights the science and the researchers of the Chicago region. ISC will host the Chicago Science Festival on May 14th at 1871. Information is at IllinoisScience.org.
