For February’s book club we will be discussing Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire. Children have always disappeared under the right conditions; slipping through the shadows under a bed or at the back of a wardrobe, tumbling down rabbit holes and into old wells, and emerging somewhere… else. But magical lands have little need for used-up miracle children.

At January’s book club we discussed The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K. Le Guin. The Left Hand of Darkness is a fantastic book, at times it is hard to believe it was written in 1968, written so far ahead of its time. Interesting characters, well-built world and written in an elegant style.
