For our April Book Club we will be discussing Agents of Dreamland by Caitlín R. Kiernan. A government special agent known only as the Signalman gets off a train on a stunningly hot morning in Winslow, Arizona. Later that day he meets a woman in a diner to exchange information about an event that happened a week earlier for which neither has an explanation, but which haunts the Signalman.

For our March Book Club we read A Planet for Rent by Yoss. One aspect we really enjoyed was that it appeared to be a series of short stories written in different styles, that gradually come together forming a something greater. There is a dark tone to the novel but with small sparks of hope, along with a fair amount of dark humor. It’s imaginative and has a edge to the writing and we are glad we read it.
