Zombie Survival Workout

Where: Vie Personal Fitness Center, 1750 N Kingsbury, Chicago
Cost: $20 per person

When the Zombie Apocalypse comes, you want to ensure you’re in shape. But not just in shape, you need to be able to move about the city quickly, without the aide of CTA. (Not that CTA is quick) What if a Zombie horde is coming after you and you need to quickly descend 3 flights of stairs? What if you need to hop over barriers in a single leap?
This class is the first step in getting you there! Our fellow CNSC member has arrange an awesome Parkour Class, an excellent way to get in your workout and prepare you for the inevitable zombie invasion of our society.
From the folks over at Parkour Ways
Parkour is not just the huge jumps, flashy flips, and rooftop craziness you see on YouTube or in the media. Not to say that those things are not or cannot be parkour, but the ability to do these things are not necessarily the goal of parkour.
People of any background or experience, size and age can begin training parkour. It is about developing yourself and becoming better in any way that you can. I employ safe progressions in my classes and encourage my students to work at their own level, at their own pace. Practitioners of parkour should never push themselves to impress or show off to others.
Some key things
- Wear comfortable clothes for active, full range movement
- Long pants are suggested for skin protection
- Comfortable Shoes
We’ll also get together for some socializing after the event! Location TBD. Sign up now!
