Chicago Nerd Social Club Says Thank You and Farewell to Gordon Dymowski, Welcomes Tanya DePass
After many years of serving on Chicago Nerd Social Club’s Board of Organizers, Gordon Dymowski has decided it’s time for him to step down from his position. We’d like to ask you to join us in thanking Gordon for the time, dedication, and expertise that he has so generously shared in creating our wonderful, vibrant, inclusive community. Gordon has been here since CNSC’s inception, and his warmth, candor, and enthusiasm will be greatly missed on the board. But while Gordon will no longer be part of CNSC’s board, he will still be an active member of the CNSC community - as the organizer for the Doctor Who Meetup Group, as part of the Chicago TARDIS Convention team, volunteering with local non-profits, and maintaining his blog projects, including Chicago Now‘s One Cause at a Time, I Hear of Sherlock Everywhere, CompleteSet and Blog This, Pal. He also writes for Pro Se Productions and Airship 27 Productions. You can follow Gordon on Twitter @gordondym and on Facebook via his author page.
We wish Gordon nothing but the best of luck in all his future endeavors, and look forward to continuing to work with him on various projects within the CNSC community.
While we are sad to see Gordon go, we’re thrilled to share Tanya DePass has joined CNSC’s board:
Tanya DePass is a lifelong Chicagoan who loves everything about gaming, #INeedDiverseGames spawn point, and wants to make it better and more inclusive for everyone. She’s the Founder and EIC of @OutofTokensCast, the Diversity Liaison for GaymerX and often speaks on issues of diversity, feminism, race, intersectionality & other topics at conventions. Her writing appears in Uncanny Magazine, Polygon, Wiscon Chronicles, Paste Games and other publications.
Tanya brings years of experience as a con organizer, speaker, podcaster, and gaming advocate, as well as a fierce dedication to creating welcoming, diverse nerd communities. We’re excited to move forward with Tanya as part of the team! Please join us in welcoming Tanya to the CNSC Board!
Excelsior!
